The scope and the achievable result depend on the damage and the paint condition. A small chip and a deep gouge are not the same job, and color on an aged panel may not match a fresh mixed color exactly.
Paint touch-up is not paint correction. Paint correction is machine polishing that refines defects in the clear coat, such as swirls, haze, and light scratches. Touch-up is aimed at small chips and surface blemishes. If the paint needs polishing rather than touch-up, that is said during the assessment.
